Thursday Billboard Update - 12/9/10

Susan Boyle's The Gift returns to the top of the charts pushing out another 271,600 records. Last week's #1, Kanye West's My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, falls fast to #7 with 108,400 sold in its 2nd week. Last week's #2, Nicki Minaj's Pink Friday, follows Kanye's lead again and falls to #8 with 103,100 sold.

Another week, another new #1. This week it's Katy Perry's Fireworks inching 1 spot up to the top.

This Week In Flops 11/30/10

The last time Chrisette Michele dropped an album she shocked the shit out of me and came in #1 with over 80,000 sold. This time she stands no chance of coming in #1, but she could definitely sell a similar amount of units. I got Let Freedom Reign landing between 50-80k.

Jazmine Sullivan is fairly how, so I have her next up and moving 40-75k.

Remember when people kept saying Soulja Boy is still relevant?? Well this will be his 2nd flop in 3 attempts. I'd put money down that he doesn't get another shot unless this shit sales at least 50,000. I have him doing less than that: 25-45k.

Flo Rida is dropping an album today?? Aight then. Ummm, 15-35k.

El DeBarge is back! I hope his album does well, but who really knows?? I certainly don't. I'll say he does between 15-35 as well.

Fresh out of prison and back in the lab! Unfortunately, I don't know how many people know this is even coming out. I guess I'll give him 15-35 too.

And I REALLY don't know who knows this is dropping. Tragic. I'll say Miguel falls in the 10-25k range.

Ace Hood - Champion (feat. Rick Ross & Jazmine Sullivan) Video

Another motivational type song, but I like this one better than Overtime (speaking of that song, they sure did abandoned that train fast lol). Jasmine Sullivan over sang the hook a tad but I think its still a hot song overall. The video is cool too. I like that he took it all the way gutta and showed the preparation of a fried bologna sandwich! Now THAT'S gutta! lol.

Interestingly enough his new album Ruthless is still due to drop next Tuesday the 30th. Who knows, I might cop. I gotta support hometeam and I'm starting to become a fan of Ace because his The Preview mixtape was HOT! Speaking of that mixtape, he hooked up with Jordan Towers to shoot a video for Bout Me with Ball Greezy and its after the jump.



I fuck with this right here! I see Ball Greezy trying to bring back that 1994 Kid from from House Party 3 "hole in the hat for my dreads" look. I remember my cousins used to do that shit lol. I still fuck with Greez though. I also like that Ace reached out to Young A.C. and put him in the video (even though he's just in the background not doing much). I'm telling you, a lot of people I talked to when Ace first came out automatically thought he was Young A.C. because he was MUCH more known in the streets at the time. Its all good now though.

Wow. This is fuckin' hard! Getting styled on by some random bird (while wearing furry pink headphones and rocking a stuffed Pink Panther doll on the arm) or doing the slowest fall in American history while trying to strut?? This could be one of the great debates of our country's history (and it would be if I had a show lol). Truly a toss up.

I think I'm gonna have to go with Charles. Jaz failed, but people fall on stage all the time (see Michelle Williams, Beyonce, and Lil Wayne) so its not that big of a deal, though it was funny as fuck. Its not everyday a dude gets stole on by a female while freestyling.

Well first of all, I'm shocked that this nigga was able to pull that chick...hell, I'm shocked he'd be able to pull any chick lol. Then the fact that she spit some terrible sing song wackness and THEN styled on him while HE was wearing fuzzy pink headphones just took it over the top. No, no, I'm lying. Jazmine Sullivan - Lions, Tigers, & Bears Video

I'm NOT "hatin'" on Jazmine Sullivan, I think she has an amazing voice, but here's my problem with her: She has a grown up voice and elementary school lyrics. I've had that problem with her since I first heard her album in September (which is why I listened to it just once). I mean seriously, lions, tigers, and bears?? How old is she?? Those lyrics are too childish for Miley Cyrus lol. It wasn't every song on the album though, just a few, but for her 2nd project she is really gonna have to mature the lyrics.

Speaking of Jaz, am I the only one who is surprised Bust Your Windows never went higher than 31 on the Hot 100?? They used to play that shit ad nauseam on the radio down here and I was always shocked it never hit the top 10 or at least got to the teens. Just a thought.
