Besides the fact that no man would ever run away after an one night stand with Meagan Good (even with that weird short bob thing she has going on), this movie looks really good. I have a question though, who do you go see this movie with? It would be gay as hell to go see a romcom with one of your homeboys, but at the same time, do you really want to take a chick out to see a movie that she might come out thinking you aren't shit afterward? Of course you can't go alone, so again I ask, who do you take? Fuck it, I'll just wait until it comes out on DVD.
If you were able to solve my "who to take" conundrum, "Think Like A Man" hits theaters March 9th.

Plies - Medicine (feat. Keri Hilson)
I wouldn't consider myself a Plies fan by any stretch, but this is gonna be a hit. You can't deny this one, hell even I like it. The hoes will LOVE it so don't expect that this will be the last time you hear this song.
Question: If you have this in the stash, why put out Becky as the first single??

The Best of the Forgotten MuZik Pt. 3
At the end there when Keri was giving a description of the guy, did she say, "5'9", he's tall umm"?? I could've sworn that's what she said. I can look down on 5'9" niggas and I'm not tall at all lol.
Anyway, this feels like some of that early to mid 2000s R&B shit. You know, that shit underground radio used to play late at night. Don't act like y'all don't remember that shit! Very, very, very hot shit.
Shouts to Ryan Leslie on the track. Pretty decent Mary shit. I like this Mary better than auto-tuned Mary.
I used to have the biggest crush on Mya back in '97 when I was in 6th grade! That really has nothing to do with anything, but listening to this song is bringing those same feelings back. I'd still wife Mya right now I don't give a damn!
Anyway, Nicki Minaj is aware that she fucked up the track, right?? i definitely could've gone without hearing "Peggy and Al Bundy. Ballin' like Van Gundy. Alligator heels on, Crocodile Dundee." Shit was wack as fuck and it messed up the whole flow and feel of the song.
"Maybe its time to put this pussy on your sideburn." Uhhh, no. Its NEVER that time, sorry Nick lol.
Anyway, Drake won. Hands down, no questions about it.
That's right, the same song with a different title and a different singer on the hook. We all know Omarion got dropped so they had to put somebody on there.
So who's hook was better, Omarion's or Lloyd's?? I'm leaning heavily towards Omarion, what about you??

Asher Roth - She Don't Want A Man (feat. Keri Hilson) Video
I'm probably just fuckin' up but I never connected the dots and had no idea that was Keri Hilson on the hook. Well, I can't say I had NO idea because I think I read it somewhere at one point, but it doesn't sound like her to me. It sounds more like "Track 13 Girl" aka Dina Rae from Eminem's first 3 albums to me.
Anyway, I always liked this song, though it never got great reviews overall. I guess that's why I'm me and they are... well, them.

R. Kelly - Number One (feat. Keri Hilson) Video
First off, Kellz, lose that damn ugly ass fade. I don't know if its just because we're not used to seeing him with a fade (he always had braids, a 'fro, or was bald) or because it was just a bad fade but I thought he was Mike Jones when they video started. And am I the only one that gets kinda annoyed when Keri Hilson does the whole "Ms. Keri babe-bay" thing?? I mean it was cute at first, but now I'm kinda sick of hearing it. On another Keri note though, she might have the nicest small breasts in the history of titties!
I'm not even gonna get on the wardrobe in the video so as far as the music goes, I like this song and I've said it before. I think this is a good comeback record for Kellz, but whether it'll actually work or not is still yet to be determined. I can't say I'm rooting for him that hard (pause), but I'm definitely not rooting against him...just his fade.
Anyway, Untitled will be in stores October 13th. I'll leave you with a little behind the scenes:
R. Keri?? Hmm, I think I like it. No, wait, yep, I do! And upon further review, that isn't just a fade R. Kelly has, its like a fade/mohawk hybrid. Dare I call it a fahawk?? Fahawk it, either way the shit looks mad weird.

Fabolous - Everything, Everyday, Everywhere (feat. Keri Hilson) Video
MTV still has a "Jam of the Week"?? I thought that went out with Bill Bellamy lol. Anyway I got some good and bad news.
The good news is that this song is still bangin' and if anybody smart was working at Def Jam these days it would've been his first single.
The bad news is that Keri Hilson is now in that stage of popularity where she's gonna be rocking weird, bad hairstyles that will make her look less attractive than she should be in an attempt to come off fashionable. Rihanna hit it, Ciara hit it, and now Keri hit it.

Fabolous - The Fabolous Life (feat. Ryan Leslie)
Two more leaks from Loso's Way which drops on the 28th!
Best line in this song, "I like a soft kiss, and I dig a wet throat." That's classic shit right there! Especially for people into comedy like myself lol. This is a solid record though. Not incredible, but its a few steps over an album filler so good enough...for now.
Another solid joint. Again, not exceptional, but good enough to get by. The beat had a nice little knock to it though so that's a plus. I'm interested in hearing how this all comes together on the album.

A Few Thoughts On The BET Awards '09
Aight, lets start with the good (it'll be much quicker):
I loved the Jamie Foxx, Beat It dance intro from the tight ass Michael Jackson outfit to the Smooth Criminal lean assisted by the chick holding him up by the chest. Nice touch. Foxx's opening monologue was okay, I had already heard that story on Friday's episode of Foxxhole Radio so it didn't do anything for me but I was rolling when he tried to Moonwalk and down near busted his ass lol. Foxx was a great host.
Good thing #2 was Ne-Yo singing Lady In My Life. Lovely cover, well besides seeing Ne-Yo hatless. Jamie's Blame It performance was pretty hot but I wish Snoop started crippin' when he came out. Travis Barker was a nice touch too and at that point BET broke a record for most white people at a BET Awards.
The next good thing to happen was the D.O.A. performance by Jay-Z. That really kicked the show up a notch because shit was going pretty bad. Question: Why was Beyonce acting like she didn't know Jay was there?? Y'all came in the same limo girl lol.
I also liked the Tevin Campbell, Tyrese, Trey Songz tribute to the O'Jays. Then I loved Eddie Levert saying "snow was falling, when was blowin', people was dancing' and shit" live on TV... and then getting his hand stuck in the award lol. The O'Jays' actual performance was pretty dope too. The funniest part was when they were jammin' and Soulja Boy was standing there like he never heard of these niggas in his life.
Good moments are running low at this point and I must say next that I was loving Maxwell singing Pretty Wings! That boy is bad! And of course I loved how they closed the show out with Janet speaking for the first time since Michael passed and then Jamie and Ne-Yo sang I'll Be There for the most touching moment of the night.
Okay, now that we got that out of the way, lets get to all the bad shit that happened.
First off I gotta touch on the constant failed attempts at censorship. I don't know who was running the bleeper, but that nigga most likely doesn't have a job today. He/She literally missed every bleep by at least a second or 2 (Ex. on Jeremih's Birthday Sex he/she was trying to bleep out sex but was late and ended up just bleeping out "birthday" so it sounded like this: "Birthday sex...sex...sex...sex"). Not to mention that person didn't even make an attempt at bleeping Eddie Levert. I mean, I wasn't there but I saw that shit coming from the beginning of the sentence (and shit). Oh yeah, and I KNOW Wayne isn't cussin' THAT much in Every Girl's 1st verse. It was somewhat vulgar (from what I remember, I actually flip it whenever it comes on) but they had it sounding like the 2Pac's Still Ballin' radio edit (and shit).
I appreciated New Edition all coming together to do a tribute for Michael Jackson BUT they probably should've left Bobby Brown doing...um, what ever it is that Bobby Brown does. I mean it was one thing for me not to understand what he was saying, but that tongue thing he did was just damn disrespectful (and shit).
Other terrible performances included the following: Keri Hilson (I love Keri but that wasn't great), Soulja Boy (I've never heard that song all the way through before last night and never realized there were only about 8 more lyrics to be said in it after the first hook), Mary Mary (Lord forgive me, but that song was Blame It with gospel lyrics. Same beat, same candence), and Ciara (all the MJ songs and she landed on We Are The World??).
The final terrible performance was so bad it needed a paragraph of its own. That performance was given by Drake, Lil Wayne, Baby, and some other niggas. First off, not only did Drake not even make an attempt to sing the Best I Ever Had hook, but he also sat through his whole set. That's only cool if you're singing R&B, he was rapping R&B. Then Wayne comes out for Every Girl and Drake continues to sit. To make matters worse, a gang of little under-aged girls come out and dance around Drake as Wayne spits "I wish I could love every girl in the world, I wish could could love every girl in the world" (Yeah they changed "fuck" to "love" but the nigga with the bleeper tried to bleep it anyway...unsuccessfully of course lol). Classy. Oh, and how bad do you feel for the other niggas performing?? I mean BET literally kept the camera on Wayne and Drake throughout everyone else's verse (by the way, where was Jae Millz?? Was he too busy not dropping Back To The Future??). Nothing was better than Lil Wayne saying, "R.I.P. Michael Jackson (2 seconds pass) I'm always strapped when I'm in the club." Nothing says rest in peace like letting niggas know you're strapped and ready to shot. It was just really bad and I'm glad this wasn't the final performance (and shit).
Back to other terrible things that weren't performances, how wack was it that they were rushing through the awards and giving them out 2 at a time?? Its the BET AWARDS, we couldn't find time to at least announce who was nominated (and shit)?? I think there would've been plenty of time if we cut some of the useless performances I mentioned above (mainly Keri, Mary Mary, and Drake/Wayne).
Oh yeah, they also could've saved time had Don Cornelius never taken the stage. What the fuck was that?? Nobody thought it'd be a good idea to start playing him off the stage with music or cutting his mic?? I know he's Don Cornelius but come on now, nigga was up there sounding senile as shit (and shit).
Here's a short list of things you could've started and completed during the time Don was on the stage:
-Run to the store
-Throw something on the grill
-Sown an American flag
-Watch Forrest Gump
-Watch the entire 2009 BET Awards
Long story short, he was up there for a long ass time (makes you wonder how retarded his ex-wife was that she let him beat her ass last year). Though I must admit, I can't wait to hear the inevitable "my money/gun/dick/ is longer than a Don Cornelius speech" punchline in a rap song coming soon lol.
The "Baby Boy" reunion was dope except for these 2 things: 1) Ving Rhames being drunk and trying to start a "Michael Jackson is guns" chant and 2) Snoop not coming out in a wife beater. You can't tell me the most memorable part in "Baby Boy" wasn't laughing at Snoop's bony body. You just can't.
And last, but not least, does Debra Lee have to speak at every BET Awards?? Does MTV's COO come out and speak at the VMAs?? Does the COO of the Recording Academy come out and speak at the Grammys?? Okay, so why does she make a space for herself every years?? Also, why didn't they bring up Alicia Keys and Wyclef at the same time?? Another way they could've saved time had they skipped over separate speeches.
Overall, the 2009 BET Awards were more so a mess than anything else. A lot of people are blaming it on them revamping the show to make it a Michael Jackson tribute, but if you sit and watch the show again you'll realize basically everything they wanted to do for MJ went on without a hitch while they shit they should've had in order was fucked up (Keri, censoring, Don Cornelius, etc.). This show left much to be desired and when it was all over I was feeling more like ?uestlove ("I wish BET died and MJ did a tribute to them") than anything else.
But guess what?? I'd do it all again because it brought me so much joy and laughter (intentionally and unintentionally).

Clipse - Eyes On Me/I'm Good
Did they seriously pay Keri Hilson to do that little bitty 15 seconds of singing?? I hope not. Matter of fact, I pray not. This shit is definitely jammin' though and really didn't need that little blip on the radar (though it did sound good too). I'm liking what I'm hearing from the Clipse!
Yeah I know, this track has been out for a week or so now BUT I never posted it so I'm trying to make up for that now. Forgiven?? I hope so but either way this shit is hot so it really doesn't matter.
On another note, this sounds so familiar! I think I heard Jeezy or somebody else spit over this beat or something very similar. I know I'm not going crazy but I'm too lazy to research it right now lol.

R. Kelly - Number One (feat. Keri Hilson)
MUCH better than that first version of this song that I posted back in August. I never got past a few seconds into Keri's verse so I don't know if that was a reference track or what but it sounded horrible. Fuck this though, Kellz needs to finish that Baby Girl that I posted with the original version/reference track of Number One. Now THAT was a hot song!

Tru Life - I Don't Need Love (feat. Keri Hilson)
Tru Life is still alive?? I'm joking, I'm joking! lol.
This is a nice ass track though. Its a shame things didn't go his way back when he was buzzin' but maybe he can come back this time?? Who knows, I'm just ready for some more new material from Tru.

This Week In Flops 3/24/09
Jooones! Capo is back with his fourth album Pray IV Reign. I listened to some of it the other day and you can tell he's still one of the biggest Jay-Z fans out there right now lol. That's fine, he's not rollin' with Cam anymore anyway so I guess he can openly express his love for Hov now. Anyway, his terribly corny single Na Na Nana Na Na hasn't done numbers like I'm sure he was expecting when making that trash. That's a problem, but I think he has a strong enough presence out there right now to come in at at least #2 on the charts. For Jimmy I'm going with 85k-105k.
Next up I got my boo, the fine ass Ms. Keri Hilson (and future Mrs. Fiyah)! Her single with Wayne cooled off some time in February, but a few key Kanye cameos has kept her in the loop. I think she'll easily cruise by the 50,000 mark and land somewhere in the 60k-80k range which should be good for getting her in the top 5. Not bad at all these days.
Man, I fuckin' love this cover! Its so sick! Anyway, I haven't got a chance to check out the next album yet, but hopefully its better than that one with the Neptunes. Slim is doing his thing on a minor level now so don't expect him to do any crazy numbers, but that's fine because I'm sure he's getting a better percentage off album sells on the label formerly known as Koch than he was on Geffen. I think this album is good for about 40k-60k.
Remember Case?? Yeah he was kinda semi-hot back in the 90s and now he's back with his new album The Rose Experience. He was on the Foxxhole about 2 weeks ago and besides learning that he accidently shot himself in the throat while he was gone, he also calls himself the black Axel Rose and that's why his album is titled what it is. He sung for them and he still has it, but unfortunately most people don't even know he's back. I got him doing somewhere around 10k-20k.
Keri Hilson - Knock You Down (feat. Kanye West & Ne-Yo) Video
Damn Keri is so fine! She is soooo the type of chick I wanna marry! Dammit! lol. Fellas, if you hit play on this video, make sure you hit pause at 1:26 in because it is a truly glorious still shot. Love. (Ayo DJ if you're reading this you need to hook us up! lol.)
Oh yeah, Kanye was there too..and Ne-Yo. It was almost weird hearing him spit a verse and I still don't even know how I feel about it though the lyrics were pretty good. Maybe he's coming back, who knows.

Keri Hilson - Make Love (Co-starring Kanye West)
Interesting. This was a very curious choice of co-star (not bad, just curious). From my own independent research, chicks don't tend to find Kanye attractive. (Independent research that usually goes a little something like this: Girl: Did you see what [insert celebrity] had on? He looked so good! Me: Kanye already wore something like that. Girl: Oh. Well [insert celebirty] looks waaay better than Kanye though. I just don't find him attractive. The end.) I'm almost positive girls find him even less attractive now with that bullshit on his head. He's still Kanye though so I don't mind him being in the video.
Whatever, Keri looked sexy as hell so nothing else really matters. I gotta wonder why Kanye never acknowledged Keri being in the house when all he was doing was sitting in the room chillin' lol.
