Black Eyed Peas' Streak Tops Usher's Record

With their singles Boom Boom Pow and I Gotta Feeling, the Black Eyed Peas have held the #1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 for a record breaking 20 consecutive weeks. Boom Boom Pow spent 12 straight weeks at the top until it was overtaken by I Gotta Feeling which will enter its 8th straight week when the charts are released tomorrow.

The string of 20 weeks bests Usher's previous record of 19 set in 2004 with Yeah! and Burn. If anything I say it just goes to show how hard the quality of music has fallen in 5 short years.
