Tony + Candice: The Movie??
What is this? Is this real? Did "Tony + Candice" really get married back on May 28th, or is this the trailer for a new rom com? It does say "coming soon" at the end. Maybe I need to rewatch it to make sure there were no Kate Hudson sightings.
Now I'm not knocking Tony and Candice for having the wedding all girls and gay men dream of, but hopefully this is as far as it goes. Wedding videos are for you and your family, not for the world. Please, I'm begging you (on the day after Michael Irvin did this to us) PLEASE, don't let this go any further, Tony.

Whatever, I wonder how Jessica Simpson feels about this? I'm not positive, but I want to say they were together for like a year longer than he was with this chick and he didn't put a ring on it. Then again, she's getting married soon herself, so maybe she doesn't give a shit. Who's to know?

Well it's about damn time, now he can finally return to his job as Michael Wilbon's co-host on PTI.
You know who this all sucks for?? Tarvaris Jackson. Why, you ask?? Because there's no way the black coach can step in and instantly insert the black QB into the line up. 2) Vince Young Placed On IR
I'm not taking Jeff Fisher's side in this whole mess because he has been herky jerky with Vince Young in his career, but Vince is a sensitive bitch who needs to man up. Always whining and carrying on like a freaking child. Grow up nigga.
You know who the big loser in this situation is?? Randy Moss. Just a few weeks ago he was getting passes from Tom Brady, come Sunday he'll be getting them from Boca Raton's own Rusty Smith. "Randy Moss Quit-Mode" activated.
3) Tony Romo's Collarbone Is Still Broken
Fine. This season effectively ended when he initially got hurt, so there's no real reason to rush back. Get healthy and we'll see you in 2011 Romeo.
4) Richard Seymour Fined $25,000; No Suspension
Hell, the NFL should be giving Richard Seymour $25,000, not taking it away. You can't blame a guy for reacting to someone talking shit directly in their face.

Ding Dong The CYST Is Dead
Okay, let me stop lol.
Now of course I'm mad disappointed about my team losing, but it definitely doesn't feel like the end of the world this time around. I don't know if its because we finally got our playoff win, or because there are people all over (and especially in Haiti) dealing with REAL problems, but it just doesn't seem that bad this year. That's a beautiful thing. I mean, I'm more pissed about the Vikings running up the score at the end than about losing the game itself.
(Side note: I should probably feel a lot worse considering our 2010 season is most likely gonna be a wash. Did you see our schedule?? We play the Saints, Titans, Bears, Jags, and Lions at home, and the Colts, Packers, Vikings, Cardinals, and Texans away. Oh, and then there's the matter of the other 3 NFC East teams with play twice each. That's some tough shit. I ain't saying we're going 0-16, but the playoffs definitely aren't guaranteed with that on the schedule on the horizon.)
Now, I'd like to take this time out to thank all the millions (and millions) of ESPN, FoxSports, CBS Sports, and all other so-called "analysts" and media members who jumped all over the Cowboys' bandwagon. I knew you'd be our downfall. Thanks.
Okay, okay, I guess this is the point where I'm supposed to place the blame on somebody actually on the team for the loss. I've heard a lot of blame put on Tony Romo, some blame put on Shaun Suisham, I even heard somebody blame Jerry Jones oddly enough. (Actually, it wasn't just "some person," it was Ryan Clark of the Pittsburgh Steelers on First Take this morning.)
Me, I'm not gonna place the blame on any one person, it was a team loss. If a gun was put to my head, I'd blame the offensive line, but it wasn't their fault Flozell Adams got hurt. That was the biggest problem right there though. Bottom line, we had trouble with protection when Flo was playing, but it was a free-for-all once he left the game early in the 2nd quarter. In the one quarter and less than 3 minutes Flo played, we gained 141 yards. We only gained 107 more the rest of the game. Its hard to get things going when your quarterback is on his butt majority of the game. In fact, I knew the game was over at half time because of this, but again, its no one's fault Flo got hurt, shit just happens.
Anyway, the good thing about this loss is that football fans can finally see that penalties themselves really don't matter, its when they occur that happens. Last week against the Eagles we had 14 penalties for 112 yards and won by 20, yesterday we had 2 for 10 and lost by 31 (or actually by 17 because that's what it was when we threw in the towel and the Vikings decided to run the score up).
In closing, I guess there's always next year... or uh, maybe 2011. I won't be as interested in football the rest of the way, but I do hope the Saints beat the brakes off the Vikings next Sunday. Those guys are fuckers and they need their ass whipped for trying to embarrass my 'Boys by running up the score. Lets go Saints!

Anyway, I'd like to take this time to call out ESPN real quick. That's right "Worldwide Leader In Sports," I'm talking to you. I was sitting around watching playoff football, minding my own when friend of the website Markeyea pointing out that ESPN.com totally jacked my theory for their recap of the Cowboys-Eagles game. Don't believe me?? Take a look for yourself, its a chart towards the bottom.

Ain't that some shit though?? I'm just an ordinary ass independent writer, why take my idea?? I'm hurt! I'm offended! And yes, by hurt and offended I do mean in need of somebody in the stats and research department to cut me a fuckin' check. I'm serious, I want my got damn money. I don't know if I have to speak to Russell Baxter, somebody at the Elias Sports Bureau, or even the fine folks over at Disney, all I know is that I want my money.
You know what?? I don't even need any money, but come on ESPN, give me something! Don't just rape me and leave, have a heart. Hell, I'd even settle for a trip to L.A. to watch Bill Simmons beat Cousin Sal with that foot long Subway sub. Something. Anything!
But I digress.
Okay, lets go ahead and update the CYST. First off, Dallas won the division. The Yankees won the AL East, the Cowboys won the NFC East.
Second, like the Yankees, the Cowboys destroyed their first round opponent. The Yanks dismantled and swept the Twins, the 'Boys annihilated the Eagles.
Finally, both clubs had their best offensive player, and chronically bad playoff performer, come up big. In the first round Alex Rodriguez had a .455 batting average, 6 RBIs, and 2 homeruns. Last night Tony Romo went 23 of 35 for 244 yards, 2 touchdowns, and a 104.9 passer rating.

1) Roy Williams Throws Romo & Austin Under The Bus
Here we go again! Damn I hate Roy Williams! Not only does he suck and not produce, but now he's dissing people. Its okay if T.O. does it because he's gonna put up numbers, but Roy is terrible. I don't think is a coincidence that all of a sudden the offense started clicking right when he got hurt and Miles Austin got more opportunity.
Hey Roy, Romo isn't throwing the ball correctly to everyone else, you're just the only one not in the right place when the ball arrives. Either that, or you drop the ball. Either way you suck and I really wish they'd put you at your rightful spot as the 4th or 5th WR.
2) NOW Wants Tom Cable Suspended Now!
And of course by "NOW" I'm referring to the National Organization for Women. So yeah, they want Tom Cable suspended because he admitted to hitting one of his bitches back in the day.
Now, I'm no employee of the moral police, but isn't coaching the Raiders punishment enough?? Seriously, I'll take staying home and receiving checks over watching JaMarcus Russell and his Buffie The Body hips overthrowing his WRs by 8 feet ANY day of the week! NOW should want something bad to happen to him, not something that would rival a vacation to Jamaica. Tom Cable is getting his punishment as we speak.

Cowboys Open Up New Stadium With A Win
Tony Romo and the first team offense played the entire first half in the first football game in Cowboy Stadium and looked crisp while doing so. Romo was 18/24 for 192 yards and looks poised for a big season. They definitely don't seem as explosive as they did a year ago, but there are so many weapons that you kinda have to spread the wealth around some. You have Barber, Witten, Felix, Roy, Crayton, Hurd, Austin, Bennett, just so many weapons. I was very pleased with how the first team offense looked, especially in the 2 minute drill. I could only imagine how much more dominant we'd look if T.O. was still on the roster.
The first team defense also played the entire first half, but they didn't have to put in much work because they looked super good tonight. I mean, I don't know if it was the Titans offsense being that bad or our defense being that good, but they only had the ball for about 7 or 8 minutes in the first half (they actually had the ball for 19 minutes while we had it for 40 and I like that split). Maybe less. It was 3 and out after 3 and out besides the touchdown drive in which Mike Jenkins blew his assignment. Better to get it out the way in preseason than the regular season when it counts.
As far as the reserves go I was pretty pleased tonight. The back ups never let the Titans get off like they let the Raiders get off last week which was great. Jon Kitna looked nice with the second team offense going 9/12 for 111 yards and a touchdown toss to Kevin Olgetree. Speaking of Olgetree, I think we've found our new 5th receiver! The kid looked damn good AND I'm sure he'd not as injury prone as Isaiah Stanback.
Special teams looks pretty decent too, could have been better though. Nick Folk missed a 49 yard field goal that he would've hit with his eyes closed in 2007 and I'm starting to see why they drafted David Buehler for insurance. There were also a few muffed punts which CANNOT happen in the regular season. Another concern is that huge jumbotron thing in the center of the new stadium. That thing is waaaaay too low and Tennessee's punter actually hit it once during the game and 4 times in a row before the game. Something is gonna have to be done about that at some point.
Oh yeah too many penalties too! 13 for 113 yards is just too much, even for a preseason game.
Overall, I was extremely happy with the performance put forth in the official first game in Cowboys Stadium. I still think we'll lose to the Giants in the actually opener in the regular season, but this win will help take away a little bit of the pain lol.

Keep in mind, this report surfaces every few months about these 2 breaking up.
With that being said, if this is true, I think this is the beginning of another reason I'm more confident in my Cowboys! First the return the to Alamo for training camp, then former Cowboy T.O. goes homo, and now the Jessica Simpson curse may be broken. This offseason just keeps getting better and better! ...Well you know, as far as meaningless off the field things are concerned.
2) Ryan Signs $45M Deal To Remain 'Idol' Host
And this is $45 million over like 12 years, this is $45 million for 3 years! Three! That's $15 million a year to host American Idol! I touched on this on Twitter yesterday (yeah I made one unfortunately if you hadn't noticed), but kids should say fuck practicing a jumpshot, or getting a fast 40 time, or worrying about getting yelled at by some old white guy because you can make just as much, if not more doing nothing like Ryan Seacrest. I mean really, what does Ryan Seacrest bring to the show?? You could replace him with any random white guy and no one would care. Replace Randy, Paula, or Simon and you may have some issues (on a side note, if Seacrest is getting $15M a year, how much are the the judges making?? Geez!).
3) Russell Brand To Host 2009 VMAs
MTV obviously doesn't learn from its mistakes because after the colossal failure that was the 2008 VMAs, they've welcomed Russell Brand back to host. To be fair, Russell wasn't the only reason last year's show sucked, but if I'm MTV I'm not going to try to put that behind me and bring back the same host.
I don't know, maybe its just me. The good news is that its gonna be back in New York so it won't be in that weird, small room like last year. That shit looked like my elementary school auditorium.
4) Tom Brady Is An Asshole
That's right, I said it! I don't know if you heard about this, but this guy Dennis Paiva is being forced to re-pay Brady for 2 $8,000 planters he "stole" and sold for $450. Here's the thing about it though, the planters were NEXT TO THE TRASH. He didn't even know they belonged to Tom Brady. Now the 61 year-old is being forced to pay $4,000 restitution to Brady’s realty trust. Really Tom?? You couldn't afford to say "fuck it" and move on?? You gotta hassle this poor guy (literally) to pay you back??
Thank goodness a local businessman decided to step in and took care of the $4,000 bill. He thinks there's a good chance Tom doesn't even know about the situation, but I seriously doubt it. I mean, of course Tom wasn't present at court or cursed him out in a YouTube video, but to say Tom doesn't even know is probably wishful thinking from a Pats fan.

Bad News Coming From The Cowboys OTAs
"Tony Romo and Roy Williams are not ready for prime time. In seven-on-seven drills, they failed to connect twice. Then they had another ball fall harmlessly to the ground in team drills. They're not on the same page at all. I just wanted to throw that out there because I keep seeing all these stories about the wonderful "offseason chemistry" that's forming between the players. I haven't seen any evidence of that."
Matt Mosley is still a moron who only bashes the Cowboys because people started calling him a homer, but this first hand account is nothing to be happy about. At the same time, these are just OTAs and training camp doesn't start until the end of July. Then again, if they can't connect on 7-on-7 drills, I don't know how they'll fare once the pads come on. I can only hope Romo's chemistry with Miles Austin and Sam Hurd is better than it is with T.O.'s alleged replacement.

Let the records show, I do not like Glen "Big Baby" Davis (mainly because that horrendous fro-hawk he brought out for the playoffs), but this guy Ernest Provetti has GOT to be kidding! He wants Big Baby to apologize for accidentally pushing his kid who was practically on the court when Davis hit the shot of his life?? Get the fuck outta here with that bullshit! The kid wasn't hurt, hell he didn't even fall down! And to call Baby a "raging animal with no regard for fans' personal safety," was completely uncalled for. Somebody stick something in this rich faggot's mouth.
Big Baby did take the classy route and apologized to this prick and his fat ass son.
2) Mark Cuban Apologizes to Kenyon Martin's Mom
Good job Mark. I don't condone what he did, but I understand how it happened. You can't expect one of the most emotional people associated with the NBA to always think before he speaks, especially after a heartbreaking loss like the Mavs (rightfully) suffered Saturday.
And speaking of that game, it ended just the way it was supposed to. That kid Wright acted like he wasn't even trying to foul 'Melo which was evident by him 1) throwing his hands up after the reach-in as to say "I didn't foul him" 2) waiting until after 'Melo took and made the shot to look at the ref and complain 3) not just wrapping 'Melo up. Like Doc Rivers now says, "Foul the right way, not the Wright way."

Random News Shit: Dallas Cowboys Edition
1) Dallas Cowboy Idol??
From the mind of Michael Irvin comes a new American Idol inspired show about 12 doing competing for a chance to play for the Cowboys! I'd say about the last thing we need is another TV show, but that's if you're asking me. Then again, its just for a spot on the training camp roster so maybe it won't be so bad. Whatever the case this dude CAN'T make the team or that'll just be another media strik against us.
Anyway, if you're interested in this still untitled show its supposed to air on Spike in the spring.
2) Report: Romo say he'll be more active leader
I hope so because I mean it is his team and all. No more Mr. Nice Guy Tony, run the show. I do love his nonchalant attitude, but that shit is kinda toxic when it comes to professional sports....especially when you're a quarterback.
And of course this probably all stems from...
3) Aikman to Romo: Perception of you matters
In real life it doesn't, but as far as football and professional sports goes it definitely does. If he didn't know that he could've just asked Mr. Terrell Owens. Think about it: T.O. has never been arrested or been in trouble off the field, but let most people tell it, he's the worst thing that ever happened to the NFL lol. Anyway, Troy may have been just a tad late with this criticism. I think it would've served better after last season when the actual trip to Cabo happened.

Top 10 Cowboys That Should Be Shown The Door
If Jerry Jones is wondering who needs to stay and who needs to go he needs to check out my top 10.
10) Zach Thomas
He's still an all-time great and probable Hall of Famer, but he didn't really help us out at all.
9) Roy L. Williams
Yeah he only played in like 2 or 3 games this season, but even if he was there you know he would've been getting burned. We shouldn't have brought him back last year and definitely shouldn't next.
8) Anthony Henry
Henry is constantly getting beat in coverage and missing tackles so its time to part ways.
7) Roy E. Williams
Let the records show, I said this was a bad trade from the beginning. His poor route running in that loss in Philly proved that and also why Romo has been reluctant to look his direction. I still say we should've waited for T.J. who's gonna be a free agent.
6) Cory Procter
The only reason I left him out of the top 5 is because he is a back-up and was forced to play because of injury to Kyle Kosier and Montrae Holland. Anyway, he was terrible all season and we can't expect Romo to do anything when Procter is always getting beat.
5) Brian Stewart
Why is he even on the staff?? Wade is doing the defensive play calling during the game now anyway.
4) Flozell Adams
Its been nice, but its time for change. He's good for at least a false start per game and he wasn't getting killed by Trent Cole against the Eagles.
3) Brad Johnson
We have no use for him besides at holder and that's just not good enough. Plus, I could never forgive him for his terrible play while Romo was out.
2) Pacman Jones
This was an experiment gone bad. He hasn't done one thing positive for us on the field besides make the tackle after he's repeatedly beat in coverage. I feel bad because I actually wanted him to come to Dallas.
1) Jason Garrett
The play calling has been pretty bad all year and as T.O. has been saying for weeks, teams have figured us out and we need to give some different looks. Maybe it was just a sophomore jinx, but his play calling was questionable all season. Ex: Instead of pounding it up the middle with Choice on 3rd and inches, he calls a pass in the flat which turns into a 4 yard loss by Roy E. Williams. Unacceptable. When all we got was a field goal out of that drive I knew it was all downhill from there. Maybe he'd be better off as a head coach where he wouldn't have to call plays, but we need to get rid of Jason Garrett the offensive coordinator.
Here's my bonus top 10 of players we need to keep around.
10) Miles Austin
Miles has been great all season and is a much better kick returned than Pacman. He's another reason why I think the Roy Williams trade was a bad idea.
9) Leonard Davis
Leonard is the man. He's huge and takes up a lot of space so we definitely need to keep him on board.
8) Bradie James
Bradie should've made the Pro Bowl, but he doesn't have a name yet, but he still had one of the best seasons of any MLB in the league.
7) Terence Newman
Though he wasn't that impressive Sunday, T-New has been shutting niggas down since he came back from injury in Washington. We need that.
6) Marion Barber
I don't wanna make excuses (mainly because Tashard Choice filled in so great for the most part) but you can make an argument saying we got a lot worse once Marion got hurt. It probably wouldn't have matter against the Eagles, but imagine him in the 4th quarter in Pittsburgh.
5) Jay Ratliff
He's one of the best DTs this league has to offer and we're gonna need him to sculpt our defense around.
4) Terrell Owens
Its sad that some people are actually blaming the Eagles loss on T.O. (namely Cris Carter's long eye brow having ass). One receiver can't make a team lose by 38 points. Somebody tell Cris to call me when Terrell starts playing defense and special teams.
3) Jason Witten
Witten is a huge part of what we do offensively so it would be retarded to get rid of him no matter how good Bennett is.
2) DeMarcus Ware
Seriously, do I even need to elaborate??
1) Tony Romo
I battled with who should be #1, Tony or DeMarcus, but I ultimately landed on Romo because franchise QBs don't grow on trees. It took us about 6 or 7 seasons to find a replacement for Aikman and we don't need to go through that again. Lets not forget, this is just Romo's 2nd full season. It took Peyton Manning 96 starts before he won his first playoff game. Tony will be fine.

Romo Misses Practice Today
From the news-I-could've-gone-my-day-without-hearing file is the word that Tony Romo missed practice today because he's sick. I don't know how sick he is, but that shit better subside before 4:15 ET Sunday. Hopefully some Vitamin C and dick in the box for Jessica can get him right in time to play and be effective.
Also missing practice today is Jason Witten with that sprained ankled, but a cracked rib couldn't even keep him out so I'm not worried if he'll play or not lol.

So Far So Bad For My Cowboys
Welp its halftime and the scored is 9-7 Ravens. Man, Tony Romo isn't looking good at all! he's 8/17 right now for 59 yards and 2 INTs. That's a passer rating of 33.1! Terrible! And when he's struggling, our offense can't really find a rhythm.
Our defense is keeping us in the game, but that won't be the case for long if our offense can't keep them off the field. They've sacked Joe Flacco 5 times already and forced 2 fumbles, but the rookie is the one looking like the vet tonight as he's 11/15 for 112 yards and 0 picks. Romo is gonna have to play a lot better in the 2nd half if we're gonna be able to get the W because Tashard Choice is about the extent of our offensive production right now. Wish us luck.

Okay, So He's Back Again??
After reports of Pacman being out for the year, and at least one saying his career may be over, Mr. Adam Jones was back at practice Wednesday and getting ready to play against the Ravens Saturday. I don't know if that's good or bad news, but good for Adam.
Tony Romo practiced, but is still bothered by that bruised back from being kneed against the Giants. He's still expected to play, but will continue to take treatment. Whatever we do we just can't let Brad Johnson get in the game lol. Marion Barber did not practice yesterday, but with the emergence of Tashard Choice, I'm more willing to let Marion rest. He was not anywhere near 100% last week and we're gonna need him if we get to the playoffs.
