Random News Shit: Entertainment News Edition
I know MTV wants to capitalize on Snooki being pregnant, but give her her own show or something (one separate from the one with JWOWW). Nobody wants to see a pregnant Snooki living in the Jersey Shore house, going to the club, and working at the Shore Store like she isn't rich and famous now.
2) The Situation Checks Into Rehab
So The Situation was on a substance outside of steroids? I wonder what his drug of choice was?
Well whatever it was, this is just another reason Jersey Shore needs to end as presently constituted. Nobody wants to see the same old show with MTV trying to pretend like they all aren't super rich and famous.
3) Michael Bay Says He's Not Going To Sodomize The Ninja Turtles
First off, let me say that as a life-long Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fan, I'm not thrilled about someone remaking the movie. Add that to the fact that they're going to change the story completely (How in the FUCK can the Teenage MUTANT Ninja Turtles being from an alien race?!?) and this whole thing just pisses me off.
Look, I fucks with Michael Bay. I love the "Bad Boys" movies and I've seen all of the "Transformers" movies in the theater, but this is just unacceptable. I hope the movie is excellent and they don't change the story, but if they do, then it's FUCK Michael Bay all the way.
4) Martin Lawrence Is Coming Back To The Small Screen
Apparently this has been floating around for awhile, but I just heard about it yesterday when HollywoodReporter reported P.J. Byrne of "Horrible Bosses" was joining the cast for the pilot episode.
I don't know how I feel about this. On one hand, it's good to hear Martin might be coming back to TV, but on the other hand, the actual show Martin is so classic and I know there's no way he's going to top it, or even come close, with this new show. I'm more confused than Young Buck on the phone with 50 Cent right now.
5) Aziz Ansari Releasing His Comedy Special Online
Following the footsteps of Louis C.K. and Jim Gaffigan, Aziz Ansari will also be putting out his new stand-up special on his website for download for $5 a pop. This is clearly the wave of the future, so HBO better get back on their shit before their hour specials become a thing of the past.
Anyway, go to AzizAnsari.com and check out Dangerously Delicious, it's available right now!

Vinny Wants In The NBA All-Star Weekend Celebrity Game
Very impressive shooting display, very poor video display. I know damn well MTV is paying these guys good money, go get a Flip cam or something.
Anyway, why should Vinny have to do all this to get into the All-Star Celebrity Game? Lil Romeo and WNBA players were invited to play, a guy from one of the top rated shows on TV can't get an in?

Jersey Shore Exposed!
When this episode aired I knew something was fishy about this scene because the bartenders didn't seem at all angry, so it made no sense for them to be throwing ice. As it turns out, I was right, and they weren't. Damn.
Of course we all know reality shows aren't really reality (See, Kim Kardashian's Fairytale Wedding), but the sheer sloppiness of this set up scene hurts my heart. I know the average IQ level of Jersey Shore watchers isn't that high, but gotdamn, I've seen better editing than this in Lil B videos.

The Mysterious Case Of MTV's Bridge & Tunnel
If you aren't familiar with Bridge & Tunnel, it was basically the original Jersey Shore that MTV spent millions to film but never aired. Besides having an awful name, why in the fuck wouldn't MTV put this ball of greatness on the air?
Earlier, I read somewhere that it was because it was too similar to Jersey Shore (though it was created before it even aired), but if MTV can have Teen Mom and 16 & Pregnant airing at the same time and Laguna Beach and The Hills airing at the same time, why couldn't Bridge & Tunnel and Jersey Shore co-exist??
To get the true answer, I guess you've got to read the Bridge & Tunnel cover story on the Village Voice and that's a commitment I'm just not willing to make at this time. Until I am, I supposed I'll be left with a newfound emptiness in my soul.

Random News Shit: All Over The Place Edition
Go ahead and toss this in the "Proof Ron Artest is insane" bucket. Metta World Peace? I... I... I just don't know anymore.
(Side note: It'd be hilarious if Ron Ar...ugh, Metta World Peace's jersey skyrocketed to the top of the NBA Store sales list.)
2) Missy Elliott Diagnosed With Graves Disease
I probably should've did some research, but I have no idea what Graves Disease is, but it has "disease" in it thus it can't be a good thing. Missy is one of the all-time great female artists, so I hope she gets better and gets back to making hits eventually.
3) The 5th Season Will Be The Last For Jersey Shore
The 4th season in Italy is in the can and filming on the 5th season starts Monday back on the Shore, but that will be the end of the road. There supposed to be replacing folks and frankly, it's probably for the best. Actually, I'm not sure why they're waiting for the end of the 5th season to find new people, this 4th season should probably be their last. Don't get me wrong, I love Pauly D and Snooki and the whole gang, but it's time for something new. Plus, MTV is just making it harder on the next cast if they keep on with this current cast that everybody already loves.
4) Buju Banton Sentenced To 10 Years In Prison
Damn. I don't even know what else to say, just damn.
5) Chris Brown Apologizes For Gay Slur
I don't like Chris Brown, you all know this, but I have to come to Young Ike's defense here and call this bullshit. I know gay people are sensitive, but give me a fucking break. Why does everyone have to be labeled homophobic anytime they say the word gay? Do gays really think this is helping their cause? They can't, right? I mean, I'm cool with people choosing to be gay, and I think we should let them go get married and all that, but every time one of these stories pops up (which is every few days) it makes me less interested in helping their causes. Saying gay is nothing like saying nigger, but gays constantly playing the "Gay Card" is vastly becoming as annoying as blacks constantly playing the Race Card. Just give it a rest and let people live.

Random News Shit: Entertainment Edition
This is awesome, insane, crazy, out of this fucking world news! The guidos and guidettes are going to Italy?!?! I'm shocked my head is still attached to my body right now!
Production is set to begin this Spring, and hopefully MTV makes another smart decision and leaves Sammi in Seaside.
2) Will Ferrell To Guest Star On "The Office"
Will Ferrell on "The Office" for 4 episodes?!?!? Wow, TV is really pouring on the awesome right now.
Of course I'm going to forget all about this by the time it airs, but somebody promise me they'll remind me? Please?
3) Jay-Z & Will Smith Form Film Partnership
This is how the rich stay rich. Damn both of you rich motherfuckers!
(Side note: What ever happened to Jay-Z kinda, sorta not liking Will Smith?? Remember he took that baby jab at him on Change The Game ("Volume 3 still sold more records than Will Smith")? And I know there were a few more times Hov mentioned Will's name in a rap. Am I the only one who recalls any of this??)
4) Drake Considering Recording Full Reggae Album?
Hey Drake, how about you record a full Rap album before you move on to the next genre, how about that?

Jersey Shore Premiere Highest Rated Telecast In MTV History
To put that into perspective for you, as popular as the first 2 seasons of "Jersey Shore" were, the previous high was 6.723 million viewers (the episode when Angelina fought Snooki and went home).
I must admit, I thought this would be the last season for the guids, but if they can sustain those type of numbers, MTV will continue to back the Brinks truck up to all of their doorsteps to keep filming.

The Situation To Earn $5 Million In 2010??
This totally makes sense though, season 2 of "Jersey Shore" is easily drawing 5 million-plus viewers on Thursday night (and that doesn't even account for all the people who watch it when it's replayed 50 times during the week), and The Situation is everywhere.
I'm glad he's gonna do that workout DVD too because I was watching one of those infomercials a few months back and thought, 'Why wouldn't one of these companies just pay Sitch to pimp their workout equipment instead of some MMA fighter people may or may not know?' Again, it makes sense.
I wonder how much Snooki and Pauly D are bringing in?? Sitch is the clear #1 earner, but I'm positive Snooki is #2 and Pauly is #3. After that, I'm really not sure, but I definitely think Ronnie came into season 2 with a purpose. As Bill Simmons and Dave Jacoby discussed last week, Ronnie is the season 2 MVP so far, and it's likely because he really missed an opportunity in season 1 by staying home a lot of nights and being with Sammi. Only time will tell if he'll see an increase in notoriety because of it.
In other Situation news, it looks like he's gonna be headlining the season 11 cast of "Dancing With The Stars." I was pretty sure the Ocho Cinco and Nicole Szjghahhihyakeger season was the only one I'd ever watch, but there's no chance I'm missing The Situation. I would've loved to see Ronnie join too, because he's by far the most entertaining dancer of the group, but I think everyone would agree that Snooki is the Jersey Shorer we'd most want to see on DWTS. No question. NO QUESTION!

Random News Shit: Entertainment Edition
1) Chelsea Handler To Host 2010 VMAs
Well it's about time they picked a host, I was beginning to think they were just gonna go without one after consecutive bombs by Russell Brand. I'm not mad at the selection of Chelsea, she's quite funny, but with this little time to prepare (unless this has been planned for months and they're just announcing it now) I'm not sure she'll be able to top what Aziz Ansari did at the MTV Movie Awards.
I have a bigger issue with the VMAs though, because not only does it air the same day as the NFL kickoff, but it's gonna be on AT THE SAME TIME AS THE COWBOYS GAME! What the fuck MTV?? Now I have to make a decision: watch my Cowboys open up the season in primetime at Redskins Park or watch the VMAs??
This also happened to me in 2007 when the Cowboys opened up the against the Giants in primetime and the VMAs were live from Las Vegas. It's partly the NFL's fault for scheduling the Cowboys there as well, but the VMAs shouldn't be going up against NFL's big time opening day. What ever happened to having the VMAs on Thursdays?? Either way, I'm pissed because of course I wanna watch my 'Boys, but at the same time, I wanna watch the VMAs and make jokes on Twitter like on all the rest of the award shows. I don't know, we'll see how it goes, I guess.
2) Wyclef In Hiding After Receiving Death Threats
I never weighed in on this whole Wyclef/president of Haiti business, but the shocking part of this story, to me, is that Haiti's presidential election is in November. I was thinking their election was in 2011 or something. I was just talking about short notice with Chelsea Handler and the VMAs but shit! Clef JUST announced he was running a couple weeks ago, now he has to put his whole campaign and stuff together for an election in 3 months?? I know Haiti is far from the U.S., but damn.
I'm not saying Clef running is a good or bad thing, I'm just saying there should probably be a cut off date as to when someone can jump into a political race. Three months, son, three months! That's insane lol.
3) Shocker: Jay-Z Tops The Hip-Hop Cash Kings Again
Over the past 12 months, Forbes has estimated that Jay-Z has made a whopping $63 million. That's $33 million than #2, Diddy. And to make things even crazier, Beyonce made even more than Jay did! B brought in $87 million over the past year, making her the 3rd highest earning musicians overall. On that list, U2 ($130 million) is 1st and AC/DC ($114 million) is 2nd. Jay-Z is the only rapper on there, and he ranks 6th.
And exactly why does everybody want to be a rapper again??
4) Jersey Shore Introduces New Cast Member
Her name is Deena Nicole Cortese, and she'll be Angelina's replacement for "Jersey Shore" season 3. As you can see from the picture and video on MTV.com, she's not that hot, but then again, outside of Sammi, who is??
No word yet on what her Guido nickname is going to be.
5) Swizz Beatz Signs New Record Deal, Readies Album
Hopefully it's better than One Man Band Man.
6) Flo Rida Working On New Double Album
Clearly Flo Rida still hasn't gotten the memo that we don't even want one Flo Rida album, let alone two.

Pauly D Dropping His New Single Beat Dat Beat
First The Situation dropped a single (which I don't think I ever officially posted...hmmm I gotta make that happen later today), and now DJ Pauly D is following in his buddy's footsteps and releasing his new single Beat Dat Beat, which you can hear at the end of the video.
Now, if you're a sick person who's mind is constantly in the gutter, like myself, then you've already started writing "Beat Dat Meat" parodies in his head. They better never let me get an instrumental to this!
(Side note: I'm hoping and praying the Snooki single is next!)

Jersey Shore Coming Back For A 2nd Season!
Visit msnbc.com for breaking news, world news, and news about the economy
Yes! This is easily the best news I've heard all day! I remember reading on TMZ the other week that they were in negotiations for another season, but wanted more money. I guess MTV finally came to their senses and decided to come correct with the loot. And really, why shouldn't they?? In that same article it state members of "The Hills" are getting upwards of $100,000 a episode and there's no question "Jersey Shore" is more popular. Pay them real nigga guidos what you owe MTV!I mean think about, not only was it the most watched show in MTV history, but they've made a huge imprint on all of our lives. Can anybody hear the word "situation" and not automatically think about The Situation?? I was watching "Spongebob" yesterday and Mr. Krabs told Spongebob, "we have a situation," and I couldn't help but laugh. And that's not it, I know I'm not the only 1 who says "bro" at the end of 70% of my sentence, or fist pumps whenever music comes on, bro. At this point we need "Jersey Shore," its apart of our lives!
Anyway, they didn't disclose how much each of them is gonna be making per show, but whatever it is, times that by 12 because that's how many new episodes we're getting! They're supposed to start filming this March and the episodes will air over the summer. There is also supposed to be a change of scenery for the guids. Cancun seems like a no-brainer, but I'm not sure they could all get passports lol. Whatever, it doesn't really matter where they are, if they're on TV, I'm watching!

The REAL Situation + Jersey Shore: Super Mario Bros.
LMAO! I LOVE this video! "I fear my character, The Situation, is like a lone orphan boy, lost in the meadow and I know not how to guide him home." That line is CLASSIC!
Enjoy the Super Bros. after the jump!
Not as funny, but definitely worth a watch lol.
