Guess who's back at #1? It's Adele's 21 here to claim her 24th non-consecutive week with 75,000 copies sold. Coming it at #5 is Big K.R.I.T.'s debut album Live From The Underground, which shifts 41,300 copies in its first week. Curren$y has his biggest career sales week as his new LP The Stoned Immaculate starts at #8 with 36,200 units sold.

Carly Rae Jepsen's Call Me Maybe (2-1) dethrones Gotye's Somebody That I Used To Know (1-2) after an 8-week reign at the top. Also, Katy Perry's Wide Awake soars 10 spots 19-9 to enter the top 10 (again).

Adele's 21 spends its 21st non-consective week at #1 by earning the biggest sales gain in SoundScan history. In it's 52nd week on the Billboard 200, 21 is up 207% and sold 729,900 copies in the past week. And this is all while debut album 19 slides to #4 with 87,000 sold. Talk about domination. Whitney Houston's Whitney: The Greatest Hits climbs 6-2 with 175,100 copies sold in its 2nd week after re-enter the charts. Bruno Mars' Doo-Wops & Hooligans sold another 37,900 copies and re-enters the top 10 (30-8) after his inspired performance at the Grammy's.

Katy Perry's Part Of Me wastes no time and debuts at #1 on the Hot 100. This is Perry's 7th #1 record in her relatively short career. Whitney Houston's I Will Always Love You bumps up 7-3 in its 2nd week after re-entering the charts. Adele's Someone Like You hops 11-7 and re-joins the top 10. Nicki Minaj's awful new song Starships debuts at #9, and Chris Brown's equally awful new song Turn Up The Music debuts at #10.

Thursday Billboard Update - 8/18/11

No big surprise here as Jay-Z and Kanye West's Watch The Throne sales 436,079 and coasts to #1. About 321,000 of those were downloads since the physical album didn't hit stores until Friday August 12th and Soundscan stops collecting sales week data on Saturdays, so I don't expect a huge week 2 drop off for the Roc Boys. Checking in at #8 is Ace Hood's third album Blood, Sweat & Tears with 26,300 copies sold. And while that may sound bleak on the surface, this is the highest he's ever debuted and the most he's ever sold in one week.

Big news over on the Hot 100 as Katy Perry's Last Friday Night finally makes it to #1, dethroning LMFAO's Party Rock Anthem after 6 weeks on top. Last Friday Night is Katy's 5th #1 single, tying her with Michael Jackson for most #1 singles off one album in Hot 100 history. Also, Maroon 5's Moves Like Jagger shoots up the top 10 8-3.

Guess who's back at #1? That's right, Adele's 21! With a sales increase of 65%, 21 again returns to #1 by pushing out another 153,000 copies.

We might need to run the Katy Perry/Rihanna .gif in reverse because Katy Perry's E.T. returns to #1, knocking Rihanna's S&M down to #4. With the domination of her album, its only right that Adele's single Rolling In The Deep would end up at #2. Will she cover take Katy Perry next week? Maybe. Recording his 5th top 10 (Damn, already??) is Bruno Mars with The Lazy Song (11-6). And oddly enough, after debuting last week, Lady Gaga's Judas actually falls out of the top 10. While Chrisqo has had an album that's sold more first week, this is his first career #1. Coming in at #2 is Jennifer Hudson's I Remember Me with 165,100 sold. Kirk Franklin's Hello Fear debuts at #5 with a robust 78,800 sold. Last, but not least, Bobby V's (I'm assuming he's officially dropped the Valentino?) Fly On The Wall at #9 with 37,600 sold.

Over on the Hot 100, we have a new #1 and its Katy Perry's E.T. featuring Kanye West. The top debut this week is Wiz Khalifa's No Sleep blasting off at #6. Susan Boyle's The Gift returns to the top of the charts pushing out another 271,600 records. Last week's #1, Kanye West's My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, falls fast to #7 with 108,400 sold in its 2nd week. Last week's #2, Nicki Minaj's Pink Friday, follows Kanye's lead again and falls to #8 with 103,100 sold.

Kelly's new album, especially with the semen-ish drippings on the title) takes over at #1 from Eminem's Recovery with 192,100 sold first week. Coming in at #2 is Fantasia's Back To Me with 117,100 sold. Hopefully this will stop her from being dropped by her label so she doesn't have to have another "suicide attempt." And finally, Usher's Versus EP debuts at #4 with 45,900 sold.

After cracking the top 10 last week, Lil Wayne's Right Above It featuring Drake and B.o.B's Magic fall and are replaced by Taylor Swift's Mine (14-9) and Ke$ha's Take It Off (16-10).

Thursday Billboard Update - 8/5/10

After fending off Rick Ross's Teflone Don last week, I thought Eminem's Recovery would be a lock for a 6th week at #1. But no. Recovery still moves an impressive 158,658, but Avenged Sevenfold's Nightmare moved 162,505 to takeover at #1. Em could very well return to #1 next week if it keeps up its steady pace, so this is just a bump in the road for Marshall.

NNNOOOOOOOO!!!!!!! I regret to inform you that this picture is a fake. That's right, fake, phony, ersatz! Here's the original. Sigh. I knew those titties were just too good to be true. And to think, I was actually considering listening to California Gurls...okay, no I wasn't.
