Random News Shit: New Albums Edition

1) Eminem Trashes Relapse 2, Introduces Recovery
I think everyone lost their collective shit when Eminem tweeted that there was no Relapse 2 early this morning. Luckily, that tweet was followed by news that his new album would be entitled Recovery and be coming out June 22nd. Needless to say cheers and jeers ensued.

You know I'm super excited for this album no matter what it was called. I wouldn't give a shit if it was gonna be called "Fuck FiyahMuZik.com Vol. 1" or "The Kevin Ain't Shit LP," as long as Eminem is gonna be rapping on it, I'm all over it. And this probably does make more sense though because I honestly didn't see how Just Blaze's production was gonna fit on an album that was anything like Relapse.

Diddy's Dirty Money album Last Train To Paris is supposed to be dropping on that same day so look for that to either be pushed up or pushed back.

2) Kanye West's New Album Coming This June, Premo Says Its Strictly Hard Beats & Rhyme
Okay, there is no way Eminem, Diddy, The Game, Drake, AND Kanye West are all dropping albums in June. Its just not gonna happen, so something's gotta give. My guess is that this album goes back to July or August, Drake goes back to no release date status, and Diddy pushes his back a few weeks. But that's just my uneducated opinion so who's to know??

Whatever, the part I'm more concerned with his what DJ Premier had to say. Kanye's new album is gonna be "strictly hard beats and rhyme[s]" and he's "totally done with electro"?? Is this a dream?? Is one of my favorite artists really returning to what made him famous in the first place?? A man can only hope this is true. I'll keep my fingers crossed tightly just in case.

3) Cee-Lo Working On New Album Entitled Lady Killer
I can't lie, I'd actually prefer another Gnarls Barkley release. Yes, the unthinkable has happened and I'm into Cee-Lo Green the singer more than I am Cee-Lo Green the rapper now, though he's great at both. Lets let that statement breathe for a second.

Okay, so yeah, I'll take this new solo album whole-heartedly, but I'm still gonna be clinging to hope that another Gnarls album is in the works.

Anyway, Lady Killer is supposed to drop some time later this year, but if he keeps up with what he's Dungeon Family brothers Big Boi and Andre 3000 are doing, we may not get it for another 2 to 3 years.

(Side note: Have you ever seen the movie "The Ladykillers" with Tom Hanks and Marlon Wayans?? Its actually a pretty good movie and had some funny ass parts. Check it out if you've never seen it.)

Kevin Durant Becomes Youngest Scoring Champ Ever

Yes, at 21 years of age, Kevin Durant is now the youngest player to ever win the NBA's scoring title by averaging 30.1 a game. And guess whose record he broke?? Nope, not LeBron's, not Kobe's, not Magic's, not Bird's, not Russell's, not Wilt's, and not even Michael Jeffrey Jordan's! The previous record holder was Max Zaslofsky of the 1947-48 Chicago Stags! That's an over 60 year record! I think its safe to say Portland loss.

Its a damn shame KD and the Thunder have been slipping over the past couple of weeks and have slid all the way down to the 8th seed and are forced to play the Lakers in the first round. Oh well, tough break nigga.

NFL To Release 2010 Schedule April 20th

Well that's good news, I guess. I've known who the Cowboys were gonna be playing and where this upcoming season since early January, so the only thing I'll learn is when.

Whatever, lets just fast forward to August! The Cowboys are one of the unlucky teams who have 5 preseason game this season, but I'd give a nut to have that first one be played tomorrow. No bullshit.

How fuckin' huge is KiD CuDi's head?? How much of "that tree" does he have to consume to get that large ass head of his high?? It has to be more than 3 blunts, right?? Dolphins Land Brandon Marshall For 2nd Round Picks

What's going on in the AFC East?? First the Jets start landing players left and right and now the Dolphins have got into the action trading 2 second round picks for Brandon Marshall. Years ago, all these moves would have been made by the Patriots.

Anyway, B. Marshall gets a new 4 year, $47.5 million contract for coming to South Florida and all of a sudden the Dolphins are real contenders. Chad Henne finally has somebody to throw to, and now they don't have to use that 12th pick on a receiver. Or they still could take Dez Bryant and line him up on the other side of Marshall. Man, that would be a problem!

Another missed opportunity for Jerry Jones though. If Denver took Kyle Orton and some drfat picks in exchange for Jay Cutler, I think they'd take Roy Williams and maybe a 3rd or 4th rounder for Marshall. Oh well, I'm happy with our WR corps (outside of Roy of course) anyway.

This is the first thing I've heard from The R.E.D. Album even worth listening to (which I'm sure had more to do with it being pushed back than any excuse Game or Interscope tossed out there). The hook is pretty dry and lackluster, but I could see it growing on me eventually. Other than that, its heat.

Hopefully this is a sign of things to come and he threw Krazy and Big Money into the Recycle Bin.

This shit it super hot! Despite Ross' embarrassment at the hands of 50 Cent last year, I must say he's dropped 2 of the top 5 hottest tracks so far in 2010. Hell, maybe even top 3. Either way, I'm loving how this Teflon Don album is shaping up, Ross might actually have a spot at Album Of The Year this year if he keeps it up. We shall see, but there's nothing but praise coming from me when you drop heat like this.
