Damn Gucci Mane sucks so BAD! I'm sorry, I couldn't think of any better way to start the written portion of this post lol. At least he wore a shirt though, so that's always a good thing. Best part of the video: Lil Wayne ashin' in the Grammy award...thug life.

Young Money - Steady Mobbin' (feat. Gucci Mane)
Big Boi - Follow Us/General Patton
There's been many a day where I've doubled up on songs in a single post, but today I'm gonna go double video on ya via Big Boi's new album Sir Lucious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty (in stores this Tuesday July 6th, go get it). Now, I've heard neither of these songs, because I've already heard too much of the album as is, but I'm sure they're both dope. Hell, you check them out and let me know.
Hmm, how about my next review be of Big's album?? Sounds like a plan to me.

And it really wasn't even that close. You could say Tomas Berdych did Nadal a solid by knocking out Roger Federer, but I think Rafa would've won regardless. Congrats to him.
2) Joey Chestnut Retains His Nathan's Title
Rafael Nadal wasn't the only title winner on this Independence Day, no, Joey Chestnut ate 54 hot dogs and cruised to his 4th straight Nathan's International Hot Dog Eating Contest victory. The sad part is after 30 or so dogs, Joey went into cruise-control and coasted to this win. He literally had no competition as Kobayashi indeed bitched out and didn't sign his contract to compete. Apparently after the competition Kobayashi rushed the stage and was taken into police custody, but I don't remember seeing that part of the show.
3) Eagles Deny Discussing Vick's Release
This denial will look after in a week or so when they actually do release Mike Vick. I wouldn't be mad if they did either because why in the hell is Mike Vick having a freakin' birthday bash?? Dude, having packs of niggas (as Mel Gibson would say) in one place with YOUR reputation and professional career on the line is not the smartest of decisions. So if that decision is met with a release then so be it.
4) Plaxico Applies For Work Release Again
This is so gotdamn sad. This mad is sitting in jail right now for shooting HIMSELF in the leg. That is just retarded. I'm sorry, but it really is.
And to think, New York's basketball team has the balls to try to convince NBA free agents to come and play in a state with such a stupid law. "But wouldn't you have to move to, and live in New York if you got the MTV TJ job??" You may be asking. The answer is yes, BUT if I did win, nobody would be targeting me, thus the lack of need to carry protection. Of course, that is also besides the fact I don't go to clubs unless I absolutely have to.
Janelle MonĂ¡e - Tightrope (Wondamix) (feat. B.o.B & Lupe Fiasco)
So B.o.B is really gonna do this whole sailor hat thing, huh? Oh well, if he keeps banging out verses like that, I'm down. Speaking of what's on top of people's heads, I've very interested to find out how Janelle has sex with her hair like that. Or is she so committed to the look that she doesn't have sex?? Either way, I'd like to know.
Anyway, why wasn't this a bonus track on The ArchAndroid?? I love the album regardless (especially Locked Inside and Neon Valley Street), so I don't feel too cheated. The people who should feel cheated are the female MC's who aren't capable of spitting a verse hotter than that 3rd verse Janelle lays down. They're so sick right now lol.
Here's the mp3 if you don't have it.

Maroon 5 - Misery
Remember when I was wondering about Maroon 5's new song Misery that debut on the Hot 100 Thursday?? Well here it is, with video! Check it out:
Not bad. I was far less impressed after my first listen than I was after my second. It's a pretty good song, but obviously no Makes Me Wonder. But then again, what is?? That song was incredible. Whatever, Adam Levine has such a great voice any of their songs grow on after a few listens.
Anyway, Maroon 5's new album Hands All Over is scheduled for a September 21st release.
Corinne Bailey Rae - Closer Video
Well it sure did take a long time to get this video, huh? I mean shit, the album came out in January and we're just getting the video for the 2nd single in July. Not a good look.
Oh well, I still love this song. It just feels so right! I might have to give The Sea a spin or 2 tonight.

No shocker here as Serena beats Russian Vera Zvonareva in straight sets 6-3,6-2. This 13th Grand Slam breaks Serena's tie with Billie Jean King, and moves her up to 6th place all-time. The all-time Grand Slam leader, Margaret Court, has 24.
2) Brock Lesnar Retains UFC Title
Man, I thought Brock was done after that first round, but he fought back and got the win by submission. That was simply amazing! This is no breaking news, but Lesnar is one tough S.O.B.
3) Phil Jackson Will Return To Lakers
Phil Jackson and Doc Rivers both clearly flunked out of the "Brett Favre School of Delayed Decisions." I mean, who do they think they are informing their teams on what they plan to do in a timely manner?? It's sickening! lol.
4) Dirk, Mavs Agree On 4-Year, $80 Million Deal
Dirk could've got much more had he decided to take one of the max contracts he probably could've gotten from one of the teams with crazy cap space. Instead, he takes $80 million to stay with Mark Cuban and the Dallas Mavericks. I guess he's more interested in loyalty than winning. At age 32, it's hard to see Dirk as the best player on a championship team.
5) Paul Pierce Stays With Celtics For 4-Years, $61 Million
Well that's a fair number. I doubt Pierce ever had any intention on leaving Boston, so I'm glad that got this deal done quickly.
6) Kobayashi May Not Compete In Coney Island Hot Dog Eating Contest
The former champ from Japan still has no contract in place, and it's looking more and more likely he won't compete in the annual 4th of July contest. This smells like a Mayweather/Pacquiao
situation to me and Kobayashi is scared to go head-to-head with Joey Chestnut. Oh well, we shall soon see.
7) Rudy Gay Gets 5-Years, $80 Million To Stay In Memphis
I don't know why, but that the just seems like too much for Rudy Gay. Nothing against Rudy, but $16 million a year for him?? Just seems odd.
Aight, let's go over some of the lesser free agents who've signed deals:
Steve Blake Joins Lakers for 4-Year, $16M deal
That is a very fair deal. Looks like we may have seen the last of Derek Fisher in a Lakers uniform.
Wolves Sign Darko Milicic to 4-Year, $20M deal
And it's deals like this that let's you know Minnesota won't be shit for years and years to come. Well it sure is a good thing they didn't get that GM job to an inexperienced guy like Bill Simmons, David Kahn is doing a much better job.
Suns, Hakim Warrick Agree to 4-Year, $18M deal
This is the deal that makes it look unlikely Amare will return to Phoenix

Rick Ross - Live Fast, Die Young (feat. Kanye West) (Prod. by Kanye West)
Well first off, there is just too much going on in the background of the beat. I have to pause it like 5 times because I thought there was a pop up or a YouTube video playing on the computer during the song. Other than that, it's pretty hot. It's not incredible, but it's acceptable. Kanye's verse was mostly hot, and both of Rick Ross' (or Ricky Rozay??) were as well.
Teflon Don in stores July 20th.
Niiicce! Everybody did their thing, but I must say, Curren$y's verse was quite hard.
Ne-Yo, do the right thing and give this track to Rick because he just made it like 50% hotter than it was. I'm just saying.

Pretty dope song. The hook gets on the verge of being annoying by the end of the song, but i have no real complaints outside of that. T.I. sounded like he was in 2002 again, and that's always welcomed.
I'm sure Big didn't gain any DJ friends with this one because these kinda "DJs" make up at least 60% of people who put "DJ" in front of their nickname. Anyway, Yelawolf's first verse was on the wacker side of things, but he makes up for it in the 3rd verse that he and Big split in half. Could've been better, but good enough.
(Side note: Yela's flow sounded A LOT like Mystikal in that 3rd verse. I like.)
A snippet of this dropped at some point in 2009, and I thought I posted it, but after checking my archives the results are negative. Whatever, I'm glad to have the whole track because it's definitely a heater. I love it, especially Dre's verse.

Wow, this was not impressive at all. I didn't wanna say it, but this is some wack ass shit. It's super repetitive and has 0 replay value. It shouldn't make the album, let alone be it's 2nd single. Jay-Z, you've created a monster with this "all black everything" shit lol.
Now this on the other hand is hot. Unfortunately it's hot because it was already hot, and not because Drake made it any better. Do I like Drake's verse better than Plies?? Of course, so in that sense it's hotter, but it still could've been better. I fuck with it though.
Andre 3000 - All Together Now
What the hell is this shit?? This song sounds uncomprehendingly AWFUL! Come on 3 Stacks, you have nothing but free time on your hand these day, you could at least give us some shit worth listening to. Lord knows you've been working on this album long enough. Hopefully this is meant for some kinda kid show and not adult consumption because that would be one OutKast project I would not support.
Dre redeems himself after the jump though...
Ciara - Ride (Remix) (feat. Andre 3000 & Bei Maejor)
MUCH better. The song itself isn't all that, but 3000's verse was dope. More of this, less of that.
